Good shot Jim. These guys are fast and erratic in flight. Think a little more infill light and canvas to the right might improve.

Great topside image Jim with lots of detail and superb eye. Really is quite dramatic against the dark BG. Like it a lot. :)

I'm interested in your angle. I like it. It's as though the viewer is also a bird flying a bit higher than the killdeer and looking down. The water definitely feels as though it's below the bird, not behind. Is that the case? How'd you get that angle?

Excellent flight shot Jim, love the sharp details, might brighten the BG and the dark feathers of the tail just a tad. TFS

    Wow.
That's about all I can add...love the background, the pose, the sharpness...the exposure is bang on (chalk another up for manual exposure)
They are a darned fast flying bird and just erratic enough to be hard to track...kudos, sir.

    Mind blowing!
Would love to be as skillful as you in flight photography. It is so good to see shorebirds in flight. Shows such pretty patterns. Thanks for sharing this one.

Outstanding flight shot. I like the top down angle and full stretched wings.
