Just to add a different flavor to the flip idea, here's a flipped landscape.

Base image from Cachuma Lake, California. I flipped the image then made it square by matching the vertical pixel count to the horizontal (first steps in making a mini-world!). From the squared image I cropped into more of a "camera" aspect. Used Topaz Simplify to do the rest. :)

Kerry, I like your new approach to this theme! And your flipped landscape is wonderful. The Topaz effect adds to the playful nature of flips. I think the original image must be beautiful.

Awesome kerry - like it a lot - real painterly feel whilst still retaining the possibility of it being a real place.
    Big Congrats :)

Kerry, Very interesting approach to the flip theme. Way to think OOTB and give us all some ideas. I love all the different layers.

Kerry, I'd been trying to figure out how to do a landscape flip but haven't figured it out yet. And I don't have any landscapes that look like this anyway:) I think it's gorgeous with the Topaz effect.

Great idea, Kerry! I never would have thought to try a flipped landscape. The Topaz simplify works well for this one.

Looks other wordly and imposing. Good thinking to use a landscape. ( If it were mine I might tone down the blues a bit:))
