Found this parrot at Butterfly World during a field trip with Fabs' macro class on a recent dog-day afternoon. Couldn't resist the combination of colors, lines and texture. Hope it meets the creativity criterion.

    Hi Ricardo,

I like it. The different feather colors is lovely. I also like the diagonal lines that the feathers introduce into the image. I would be tempted to try a crop that eliminated the non-feathers areas of the image as I think they take away from the beautiful feathers. I am certainly not an expert but what I was thinking was something like my repost. This eliminates the non-feather areas but may cut too much of the feathers for what you had in mind. Just a suggestion based on my personal opinion.

    Thanks for sharing.

I was going to do exactly what Phil did. Eliminating the distracting elements male this a mush stronger image. Good colors and lines, Ricardo. Well done.

Thanks for the crop suggestion, Phil and Fabs. I now see that it indeed strengthens the image.
