    from friday afternoon with al and fabs in the brutal heat of sw florida. we managed a couple of keepers despite the temps!! this is pretty much straight out of the camera with the exception of the crop from top and bottom.

    D300, bigma at 500mm, f/6.3, 1/200s, ISO 640, +1.0Ev

    Ah, so the chicks have hatched. Let me know when you're going back. Was this in the morning or afternoon?

    Very Nice Harold, i like the pano look, i think that is what you call it! I'm interested as well, if you roll that way! Was considering a trip as well.

    Hi Harold

    Center placement works well with the chicks balancing on the sides, I like the pose/detail of the parent and oof chicks ... different and like the look/feel of the image !

    Hi Harold, lovely image. As Al said, the chicks balance the parent perfectly. I does look to me like the blacks on the bird are too grayish.

    Hi Harold - I too like the pano with the oof chicks balancing the adult. It almost looks like the chicks are melting from the heat.

    Hi Harold, definately a different presentation regarding clarity and overall look. Compositionally I feel the image is well balanced. The image is totally subjective. I like the adult but not sure if I like the faded look of the chicks.
    To my eye there appears to be a slight blue cast to the image...
