    Default Pileated Woodpecker

We wached this nest from a fair distance (from a boardwalk) for four days,
every day whole day except lunch break.
It was a very entertaining experience.
Some people braved the poison ivy coverd ground and got closer but their angle got much steeper.
I opted for the convenience of the boardwalk and far less steep but much further position.
    Thanks for looking.

I know how far this nest was, and your shot here is fantastic for that distance!!, at least 50 yards! Well done Karl!

It's a good thing to minimize the angle with distance. Great interaction. I may have increased the ISO for more s/s.
Very good composition, placing the chick in the ROT.

I like this image. Nice angle, pretty background. A slight tilt of the adult's head toward the camera would have been nice.

Karl nice family interaction at the next hole. I also would have liked a bit of a head turn from mom but still a nice image.

I like the careful crop with the placement of the chick, and also of the hole in LLC. Good one!
