I get a feeling of being lost from this one. Kinda like wandering a barren desert looking for something, anything to take shelter and find some food. (Whoa, better ease off the beer when critiquing photos:)) Not sure if I like the downward angle or not but it seems to be okay for this shot. I think I see a very slight pinkish cast to the snow but my monitor isn't calibrated so it could just be me.

I know I had a glass or two of wine, but actually he is climbing a hill covered in fresh snow in the middle of the afternoon. I think the pinkish cast is my wine.

I like this Gary! The angle and the emptiness surrounding this coyote makes it a unique image IMO.

This is a different look, but I like it. If it was mine, I would try cropping some on the left - maybe almost up to the track on the bottom of the frame. This would put the coyote more in the corner of the photo and looking off into the featureless distance.

A different look and angle for sure which can be good. A slight head turn towards the camera may have been nice and I might crop a bit off the left side of the frame.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. I re-cropped. I would think that a turned head towards me shows that the coyote is distracted from his daily routine and that I've become a part of the photo without really being there. Maybe I'm wrong.
    My one cent "Dang inflation".
