    taken this morning in my backyard, not a bright day by any means so I got to test the high ISO, and man getting the reds right was a mess ! basically I had to fix it in lightroom using -1 with the brush

    out of curiosity how would you have exposed to try and capture the reds properly? I cant say I have had to do it to many times so I could use some guidance on that

    Canon 7D, 500L + 1.4TC, ISO 1600, F6.3 @1/640, fill flash with 580EX @ -2, BG noise reduction done with dfine

    WOW! great shot, gotta love backyard bird photography, i can't help with the reds coz i don't know but the pose on the flower, the nice shallow depth of field and the contrasting colours are just great :)
