    Hi Folks

Visited Kubo B&B at 5500' for a cool morning amongst the Sycamores & Oaks, and captured this Woodpecker in subdued and dappled light.

    Comments invited and appreciated.

BTW: Sized in CS5>File>Save For Web & Device at 197KB, uploaded at 197KB, much more accurate than CS4

    Best regards

    Gus

Hi Gus - any Photoshop work on this one???
Think I might be seeing some artifacts on the LHS near the white patch on the birds head - suss looking straight line there.

Different composition with a lot of negative space behind the bird - hmm not sure -lets see what others say.

    Hi Lance

Regretfully, I removed the continuing branch that appeared to come out the top of the bird's head, and on second thought should of stuck with minor editing instead. Didn't like it the moment I saw it posted.

I'm going to try to be a photographer, and IMHO, I think that patience is one of the most important habits I need to cultivate.

    Appreciate your comments, Lance

See you when I have something worthwhile showing.

    Best regards

    Gus

BTW: The quality in ETL is 10 fold better now than back when it first started. I constantly see good photos here.

Hey uncle Gus. Nice capture of this woodpecker, one that I've never seen. BG is a little distracting IMO.

Good pose and HA Gus. Looks like a tough exposure. Looking forward to more.

Hi Gus - you always have something worth showing - love seeing the inhabitants of your garden. Patience is something we all struggle with - IMHO.

Hi Gus, The cloning artifacts are there and should be an easy cleanup.
Your images are worthwhile and you work at improvment which is what were all about. Keep it up Gus...

Hi Gus For cloning things remember to work at 100% only way to see what is going on .. can actually blow up even more if you have to !!!

CS5 does make a difference, lost of new things there !!! .. and color wise the browser will make a difference !!
