You're killin' me with these Sid! Another one out of the park!!!
Have you tried playing with a warmer WB? just something to toy with for tastes as I like this one very much as presented. Another outstanding courting tern!!!

Great moment captured! Poses and interaction make this one for me. I like Roman's idea to raise the color temperature a bit and might tone down the brightest whites a bit. Would a slightly higher angle helped showing the female's feet?

    Roman and Axel,

Why do you think raising the color temp will improve this image?

    Thanks

I feel the color temp on this is fine. It gives the feel and look of a high key image. Warmer temp would kill that look. Stunning image just as it is. Low angle is perfect for this intimate look into the terns lives.

Thanks Joe. Agree with you 100% on this.

AWB is showing 5200K and at this temp background complements the subject's color tones very well. If i kick the temp up, image will loose that feel. I think WB is fine as I processed.

Priceless Sid. An opportunity well used, and I like sharpness, exposure, and the tender interaction. Congrats.

It looks a bit cold on my monitor and I think it would be interesting to see it slightly warmer. Maybe it would be an improvement, maybe not. If you like it as is, the point is moot anyway. :)

6000K is definitely too warm, 5300-5400 is more what I had in mind.

    Stunning image Sid!
I am fine with the WB in this one but I envisioned it a bit warmer. I applied a warming filter at 7%, hope you don't mind.
Love the interaction and composition, I'm find with the missing feet of the female. :o

This shot is hallucinating. At first glance I thought it was a manipulated shot, then I understood what was going on between the terns. The original WB is best to me, but other may differ. Did you shot from a blind?

What FANTASTIC behaviour captured so beautifully. The only thing I find a bit of an issue is the shooting angle which resulted in too much oof FG. Other than that it is truly a stunning image. WB looks perfect to me in the original.

    Rafael,

I did not shoot from blind. Shore birds in florida are used to people on beaches. You dont need blinds here.

Sid, over the top buddy! I like the original, as having seen these @ desoto, this best describes the scene! Yes perhaps a bit higher , looking down slightly, might have revealed the feet, however i really do not see it's absence as a penalty. This pose, is just fantastic, and the exposure, HA, and eye contact does it for me! Like it all!
