I was fortunate enough to get a shot at this adult Lammergeier (aka Bearded Vylture) during a recent visit to Giants Castle.

Like the warm light and sharpness. Wish for a better head angle, and would like to see a bit more detail in the blacks. I would love to see this bird in person someday! :)

Brilliant background and fantastic light. Bit of shadows on the wing are making this image more dramatic. Only thing that comes to my mind is the head angle. With a good HA this would have been extraordinary image.

    Hi Gerrie,
What a beautiful bird!!! I too would have preferred for a better turn and HA......those two elements would have taken this VG image to exceptional....as Sid mentions.

Hi Gerrie, good profile to show the beard, and I like the low angle. Comp works well, and just love those GC BG's.

Whenever I see images made there, I really want to go there myself. :) Great setting, BG and angle, sharpness looks good, too. I agree with Doug on trying to get more details in the blacks.

You were lucky to get him to land;) Nice and sharp, shadows could be lifted a bit?

Aside from the head angle comment , this is a beautiful image. Light and exposure are magnificent. Perhaps just a bit off the right as it borders on too much negative space. JMHO. TFS.
