I captured this at a birding spot close to Johannesburg International airport a few weeks ago. There is small wetlands, and during our winter the place is full of these guys. I liked the sweet light in this. Plenty of pratice to hone in ones BIF skills.

Light and BG look very good. I wish the far wing were higher up.

Yes but he did avoid a merge with the head and far wing.

    Hey Stuart,
Swweeeet light and yeah.....rear wing up may work better.....but as Robert said.....no merge so I am OK with it. Killer sky too and placed very well in the frame. Very nicely done overall!

Great light on the bird, and a nice pink-cloud BG. Sharpness is good. Like the near wing position, but do wish the far wing was less horizontal.

Stuart, Beautiful lighting and lovely BG colors. I like the under wing details and agree the rear wing could be higher-but I'd be happy w/ this one.:)
