    Would a portrait crop work better? Either way I think the bird needs to be higher in the frame. I like the dirty bill. :)

    Agree with Colin here. I would like to see a bit more of the bird if possible.

    The composition of this picture was good for a close up landscape head shot. Portrait did not work :D So here is another attempt at the crop.

    Charles, now, do you ahve a bit more room on the left? If so, adding more room on the left in my opinion will improve this image.

    Charles, agreed, I like the most recent version best on the crop. Bird part photos seem to work best when the fill out the frame but leave some room in front of the bird. Nice lighting and detail here.

    I do prefer the third crop and I like the dirty in the bill, it tells the story
