    About 65% of Full Frame

    Photographed this morning on Plum Island in MA.

    Don't know the age of this bird ... not quite a chick but not yet a full-fledged juvi either.
    This guy was constantly on the move and this was as close as I could get.

    Very nice exposure and the shell on the right balances the composition very nicely. Very neat as presented, I may take some off the bottom for a bolder look. TFS, Mike.

    This is what I call a lower angle ;) Light angle and subject isolation are killer and I like the composition a lot

    Hey Mike,
    The comp here works very nicely for me with the shell blancing the chick. The line of sharp sand looks a bit odd to me.....but it may just be due to the low shooting angle....in any case, for me, it doesn't detract from this wonderful image! Great job!

    Thanks to all for taking the time to comment!

    Sharp line of sand is normal effect I get when photographing on level beach using a Skimmer ground pod.
    No cloning or other manipulation on this one.
