    Default Color - too much?

    Hi

Scarlet Macaw, obviously, what comments on color, too much saturation?

All comments welcome regarding other photos in this link if you can access them, not sure; my p/editing skills are limited so I need to learn how to present my pics in the best way.

    Thanks

Hi Richard. For critique purposes a larger version of your image (up to 1024 pixels wide or 800 high) would help. I would also use a more discrete watermark. I like the eye contact and the brilliant colors. But I do find the reds and yellows to be oversaturated. Backing off on the saturation should help bring out detail in the plumage. There are some helpful pointers on how to do that in the Educational Resources section of BPN. The bird is a little tight in the frame. And there appears to be some motion blur.

    Hi Doug

thanks for your comments all good!

here is original jpeg resized to 1024 - sorry about watermark I will rework that
would be interested to see what it looks like after being in the hands of a pro if you have the time and what sequence of actions you applied

Also I am following through on the Educational section and it's clear there is a lot to learn :-)

Worst part is the motion blur - indeed I just realised I was in one shot mode and hold holding at 400
    a very useful pointer there
A lot of work to do then , thanks again

    Richard
