    Hi Folks

Lets have a look at this little hummer perched on Century plant.

Comments always appreciated, my best learning tool.

    Best regards

I like the birds perch, pose, and the catchlight.

Looks a tad noisy - not sure why. Is it a big crop? It also looks like the BG was blurred artificially? Can't tell for sure, but something about it looks different.

Hi Gus - does look noisy - was it under exposed?? - Would explain the noise - 400ISO should be pretty much noise free.
Like the perch and the pose - BG is what it is. Not a fan of huge changes to BG in PP.
Looking forward to seeing more :)

    Hi Folks

My eyes must still be bad as I could not see any noise, however, I gave it a pass through Noiseware Pro. Also repositioned bird as suggested by AL. Meesh, it was a rather large crop, and the BG was not blurred.

Thanks for looking and your helpfull comments.

I think if I had been using my monopod it would have helped.

    Best regards

    Gus

Thank you, Meesh. I resized it to notecard proportions 4.25 in x 5.5 in, and it printed out very nice, IMHO.

Hi Gus, I like the final crop. Nice pose and base and the noise looks greatly reduced in the backround. The bird does appear to be a bit over sharpened...

Gus like your repost. The colours on the bird are very pretty. Agree it might be a bit oversharpened, but would be good for print.
