    Hi Folks

This photo taken at my friend June's yard in front of the park with the agressive Cooper Hawks. Fun day even with the temp at a cool 104 F. Was 110 F last week.

Wish the lamp was black :D

Comments invited and very much appreciated.

    Best Regards

    Gus

HI Gus....You got a nice head angle on this guy and the perch is terrific but This shot looks oversharpened to me in the birds feathers. This could be from the harsh lighting! It would also be nice to have more room on the right for the bird to look into. You might also consider taking out some of the distracting blue color in the bg. TFS

Hi Gus Its hot out there :) .. we are not that far behind here !!

Agree with Bob !! Light is harsh and bird might have not razor sharp then sharpened? Do like the pose and perch !! Very pretty lady !! ... would try re working this one

Hi Gus, Bob made some good points regarding the harsh lighting and the removal of the blue in the backround.
It does appear a bit tight by the tail on the left and bottom also. You did capture a good pose...

Hi Gus - agree with the above comments - bird does seem to be lacking fine feather detail.
The harsh light is a issue - softer light would have improved.
Looking forward to seeing more :)

    Hi Folks

Thanks for looking at the lady, agree with all your comments. Wish the Cardinals were early visitors instead of arriving around noon.

    Best regards

    Gus

I like the pose and perch, too. :) Hopefully monsoons will develop soon and we'll both get a little softer light! :D
