Crossing Over

I had the pleasure of watching the wild Banker Horses cross from one shoal to another. at one time the animals were neck deep in the saltwater! Here's two of the mares heading into the water as the start the navigation across the channel to the next shoal. Canon 40D, Bigma @ 500mm, iso 1000, f/8.0, 1/1000, hand-held in the kayak. Post via CS3 incluing sharpening and noise reduction. Fort Macon, a Civil War earthen fortress is in the distant background. I cloned out a flag pole and flag and the tad bit of roof sticking above the tree line.

Beautiful shot, the low angle on the water is fantastic! Very sharp and colorful. A blue sky would have been icing on the cake.

Hi Bob, nice lighting, shooting angle, action and sharp. I would crop out about 40% of the sky since it has very little interest.

I suspect they would've but I moved out of their way. If they didn't I suspect that in a horse vs old guy in kayak encounter... the horse would win. They have a definate weight advantage. ;)
