I like the inclusion of habitat but find where the dark upper vegetation ends sort of abrupt and too rectangular. The bird is gorgeous.

Fabulous shot Arash! The light is falling on this gorgeous specimen most perfectly. Action is great and water droplets too. Surface of the water is uniform but full of texture -- nice. How are you liking that 5D2 for shooting birds with the 500? It is an option I have considered in the past as an alternative to the 7D or Mark IV.

    Arash,

What a great shot, bird is brilliant. Would agree with Mike about the upper backgroud. If it was just OOF water (blue) it woul dbe so much better

Awesome lighting Arash...great capture with the oyster and water droplets. Upper portion a little distracting... but if anyone can take it out it would be you.... definitely a keeper

Hey Arash, lovely light and colours, and I like the perspective here. Good to see the raised wings, and overall nice and sharp. Of course his meal a bonus. ( as a matter of interest, where were you positioned to capture this. It seems you were in the water. )

One of our best IMO, killer light pose and action.

Thanks all for nice comments :)
Thanks Danny, 5D2 is an excellent camera and certainly the best overall that I have ever had.

Super exposure and detail. The light is about as good as it gets, and the low angle makes this for me...Nicely done Arash

Great moment captured, angle, wing position and oyster make it special. The BG might not be ideal but I don't find it distracting.

Arash, enjoy looking at your shots, well done.
BG is what it is, nothing you can do about it.

Beautiful light and subject and I think that background is superb....because it's nature.

For those of us who actually shoot in the marshes this looks real.

I guess if you've never really gotten out there and worked a real field location such as this...then you might not know what reality is :D

You've really been hitting some photographic home runs lately Arash! Great wing position, eye contact, sharpness, and light. Nice low angle. The oyster is a real plus.
