    From the recently completed Images for Conservation Pro Tour of Nature Photography Contest in S. Texas

    This image did not make my final portfolio. As per usual with tour images pretty much straight from camera no cropping.

    Now that's one dramatic image , can't think of phoographing snakes but enjoying this one, excellent in all respects

    Fine image Dale High impact and well framed !! Find that contest amazing, can't imagine having to get all out of camera no cropping .. tough !!

    Got to see all the images and understand why this one didn't make it !!! .. one humbling image collection !! Thanks for giving me a chance to look Dale !! .. and good luck !!!

    stunning capture - the low angle and the snake's body position ready to strike makes this very compelling...hard to imagine this one not making the cut.

    I would love to get a rattler! I haven't been so lucky yet. Outstanding shot! Do you have to manipulate the snakes to get them in the position you want, or just deal with them as is?

    Again, love this shot!

    The Images for Conservation website wwww.imagesforconservation.org should have them up to view pretty soon. After the awards banquet on July 10th I will have them on my website.

    Dale - I have seen a couple of rattlers in the wild when hiking and playing golf (sadly no camera with me and a little too close for comfort). I much prefer seeing them through your lens. Beautiful shot.

    I love the pose of this snake with its tongue tasting the air. Nice BG too.
