    From Monday evening at Cupsogue county park Long island where my friend and I went to celebrate the summer solstice by photographing some shorebirds.

    1/1000, f 5.6, iso 400
    Canon mk4, 500 f4 + 1.4tc + lowered tripod

    Loved the angle here, nice effect of the light and the wave in front adds well..

    Very cool moment captured, I like the warm light, composition and eye contact and the little wavelet makes it special. Have you tried to lighten the blacks a tad?

    Grace, Beautiful warm lighting and the small wave in front of the bird is perfect. Nice low angle and seems like you had a wonderful night.

    Sweet light Grace, and love the DOF effect. The wave in front adds interest, and wonder what happened in the next frame.
