This is another one in the series of the immature Gabar Goshawk that I recently captured at a waterhole in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. I removed some out of focus mosquitos (!) around the legs:)

Great job, Chris. Lovely and sharp with nice focussed pose and plumage detail. Interesting ISO choice - I'm a bit locked to old fashioned increments!

Wonderful shot Chris. Some of the colors on the bird's nape, legs and eyes compliment the bokeh to make this action image a real eye catcher.

Fantastic pose . I like the sharp details and the talons being so visible. The BG is pleasing.

Wow!! Chris the way to go!!! Feather detail so clear as is colour. So sharp with the wing tips suppotively soft to contrast with the sharpness where it counts. Loads of pent up action!! A winner for sure.

Great intense look and with those extended talons, lots of implied action.

Great image, I like the pose, sharpness and the bird appears to be really focused, I guess on a sandgrouse. Have you tried a slightly wider crop?

Brilliant IQ Chris, and just love the posture captured. Tack sharp, and the goshawk is separated from the BG very well.

Like the fact that the Goshawk is looking downward. Sharp detail and great natural colours. The eye is superb.
I enjoyed your recent photographic bird mag that accompanied the Africa Geographic, some outstanding photography by you and Albert.

Wow, very nice Chris! Awesome look of concentration on this guy. There is a pale area between the talons and your signature that could be tweaked (darkened) to match the rest of the adjacent water, but all else looks fantastic.
