Please excuse this image ;) Too much movement!
Just wanted to share (and promote) what the 9 stop range (9 exp) in HDR can do even if you shoot at the sun.
"Straight" from Photomatix Pro. with crop L&R. Some fill light and Clarity added in Lightroom
Still able to capture texture of white flower.
    Cool lens flare at bottom!

Steve, Thanks for sharing this. I can really appreciate the program even more after seeing this example. In pane #2 the soft blue and greens are lovely. The flower and the leaf seem to be 3 dimensional. I might evict the highlight on the flower and tone down the one side of it just a teeny bit. What did you do to the bottom image to achieve that effect?:)

Thanks for your comments, denise! I forgot :) to mention on pane #2 that I used layers in CS5 and a frac BG blended and lowered the opacity to bring back some of the natural BG colors. Then increased brightness and lowered contrast and adjusted the blue saturation to just the BG. Some brush work in Lightroom to the bloom and lightened some dark residuals in the BG.

Steve, the first image is a good example of what you can do with all that tonal range. I really like what you did the image in the second pane. I'm seeing some white glow around some of the petals that could be toned down. Nice work to get this look!

Thanks Kerry. I did a little redo to tone down the glow :)
