    D90 70-200VR@200 1/2500 f6.3 ISO400 0EV handheld

    This swallow was looking back at another it was playing with today -- looked like play to me. It was preening a bit too, thus the ruffled feathers. I did a pretty heavy crop, but very little PP. Critique appreciated.

    You've captured the iridescence well, Wendell. I like the pose with the eye highlight and the curve of the perch is great. The heavy crop is showing with a bit of loss of definition and noise.

    Interesting pose and eye contact. The harsh light made this really challenging. I would crop a bit off the right to get the bird out of the center and tone down the highlights more.
