    I love wood ducks and although the colors of the hen are subtle, I find them just as beautiful as the drake. Also, I've noticed that they have a huge eye for a duck.

    Canon 40D; Canon 500/4 + 1.4 TC; 1/320; f/6.3; ISO 200; Gitzo GT3530LS w/Wimberley II

    Beautiful colors and detail. I might crop it tighter , perhaps to a more traditional: "portrait" crop.

    I like the hens too. I think I understand why you cropped this way, because of the beautiful color on the speculum and wings.

    I have had some issues with the same hot spot by the eye. Probably works best to reconvert it for that area and merge the two images, with the darker white area brought over to this image.

    Not a traditional crop but works for me. I do like the colors on the wings. Very nice eye contact.

    Yeah a diff crop here Danny Bhai, sure those colours your included in the frame adds well and nice sharpness too...
