    Default Sky Ballet

Taken this am at Wakodahatchee. I was actually looking at a green heron nest with the parent and a couple off eggs when this great white egret came in preparing to land close by. It was a gorgeous sight to see as the lighting was coming in on an angle in front of it as it was preparing to land. The different flight poses reminded me of a sky ballet.

I like the graceful pose and the overall color scheme in this one. Reminds me of summers in Florida. If the left wing was in a slightly different position away from the birds head it would be stronger but I still think this is a fine image as posted.

I like the back light through the lower wing. I wish the rear wing cleared the head. Really nice image as is.

Hi Judy Lynn, This is a wonderful pose you have captured. The back lighting works well on the bottom wing but for me, not so well on the rest of the bird. I might take a bit off the top and give the bird a touch more room on the right. Cool capture at any rate :)

I am seeing the beautiful light in your images Judy Lynn....and the backlight here is stunning, but you needed a huge reflector for a wee bit o' fill IMO

    nice and sharp

Good light. No shadows...by all accounts a nice shot. I do love to watch these graceful beauties in flight.

I understand your title Judy Lynn, a very graceful pose indeed. I agree with the wing head separation comment, but still a neat image as is!
