    Composition: I'm glad the bird is looking into the frame. i could see a little looser comp with more room for the apex of the brach the heron is on
    Detail: excellent detail, nice job post processing.

    Tack sharp Dumay, and regarding the comp, I would bring in the LHS ever so slightly, so you dont see the end of the perch. Killer pose and BG. Have you been back to Mankwe since we were there at easter?

    Lovely details and a great looking bird. I agree with Matthew about a slightly looser comp.

    Lovely breeding ? colors in the face, tack sharp and well exposed. The crop suggestion given by Matthew is worth considering. Nice to see a close cousin to our Great Blue Heron.
    Do they also get red in the eye when they are in courtship?

    Thanks all...Regarding the red eye Fabs, im not actually sure...I will try and find out that info.
