    Default Salton Sea HDR

This is a three-image HDR version of a scene at the Salton Sea. The color was altered in Photomatix Pro, then Topaz Adjust was used to take away detail. I'm sure some would say that the birds should be evicted, but then it wouldn't convey the mood of this place at this time of day. There are pelicans on the water and pelicans in the air, both white and brown, and I chose to highlight them. :)

Absolutely love this as presented. Agree that the birds add something here, and wouldn't remove them at all. Colour choice is very suitable. One of those images which gives a mood change which maybe the colours used, gives a glow inside. Thanks for that, very nice.

Kerry - I like it just as presented - Might also look good as a Pano.
Love the colours and the birds add to the image - IMHO!!

Kerry, I like the colors very much and the way the birds are scattered across the scenic. The two top clouds may be a tad over saturated?

Love the scene and the colours, just thought the clouds looked a bit unnatural too. (but this is OOTB) I think the birds fit in very well.

Love the colors and the sunset. You might try the Selective Bird Removal Tool in Photoshop and go for a bit better balance :)

Kerry, this is so beautiful. I love the colors and the birds add a lot of interest. I agree with Denise about the clouds being a little oversaturated or maybe it's the effect from Topaz that makes them a little different. But beautiful as presented:)
