Awww, very sweet shot of a mom and pup. The visual image contrasts with the uncomfortable feeling of laying on the rocks! :D I'll be interested to read the CnC on this one.

Bill -agree sweet shot. My attention seems to be drawn to the head of the mother first, probably because she is lighter and so are the rocks around her. I like the DOF (that all is in focus). Will also be interested in seeing what others think.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Bill, Image tells a great story of a tender moment, Nice exposure and lighting. Good contrast between the muted gray rocks and the reddish brown of the animals. I might have liked a little more room to the left and right.
    Nicely done!

I can't tell you exactly, but at 29mm, full-frame, I was extremely close. One of the wonders of the Galapagos is the animals' total lack of fear of humans.

Troy, Here's an image someone else took of my wife and me with friend -- an example of how close one can get. Sometimes less lens is better.
