Taken in the Galapagos on Espanola very late afternoon, just before returning to the boat. The sea lion on the right had her pup hiding behind her.

Great mood, interaction and light. Have you considered removing the rock in the water?

Thanks Axel. Still not sure how I feel about removing such a large natural object but here's a repost with the rock cloned out.

I certainly understand your hesitation and some people don't do this as a matter of principle, which I respect, but I must say that I really like the repost. :)

Nice interaction. Like the color and light as well. Like the waves behind the seals as well.

Nice warm light and great interaction between these two. I like the color of the water in the BG and the hint of waves. Also prefer the repost without the rock, I kept checking to see what the other "seal" was doing back there.

Removing the rock certainly has improved the image Rachel, but any form of 'retouching' has to be down to you and how you feel about it. I think something like this is OK for this medium, but perhaps looking at the back of the camera when you take a shot might avoid issues like this, as it means you could move to avoid it, but then you might not get the right shot?

Thanks all for the kind comments. I think removing the rock is too much editing for my personal taste/ethics but I understand that it improves the image. It was good practice of my PP skills though.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel
