This is excellent!!! Love the angle captured, the wing up position, the HA with open beak, the trail of water from the bird's feet to the water. Look sharp with good details also, very well done.

Perfect take off pose and as a bonus open beak. Love the light, the BG. Details are good in blacks and whites as well, but what I love most about it is the water from the feet. Big congrats, Arash.

    Arash:

Superb timing, very nice pose, open bill, trailing water, all good.

In a perfect world, I would prefer the far shoreline not intersect the birds body, but nice as is.

    Cheers

You got light in that underwing! And beautiful light too!
I like your EXP control pose and definition.
About the shoreline intersecting, since it is so blurry, and the bill is in the clear, I'd call it a minor issue.

Now this is split timing Arash, and good to see the trailing water. Well exposed, sharp, and the open beak a bonus. I also like how the DOF falls away.

Arash, beautiful image (shoreline interaction a bit of a drawback). For the last month I've tried to capture an avocet as you've captured this one, but I've had no success. Congrats!

Cool pose, good sharpness and BG. I would only try to get more details in the blacks or maybe just lift the midtones a bit.

    Hi Arash,

I think this is a beautiful image. Well exposed, sharp, with a good composition. The full upward wing stroke is perfect in my opinion. The splash and colorful background help sell this image. Well done!

Super take-off pose; the open bill and splash really make the image. I do agree with Axel that there's probably more detail in the blacks on the back of the head. The intersection of the shoreline with the bird does detract, but only a little. Very nice image!

Thanks Doug, I already applied some HLS, there is no more detail in the blacks.

I think you nailed this one, Arash. Sharp, open bill, and the pose and timing of the image is so nice with the feet streaming water behind.
