    Default Being Spoon Fed

This was from last year. My first time with James Shadle and my
    first time encountering Spoonbills.

    Canon EOS 1D Mark II
Lens: 600mm with the 1.4x (from inside his boat on my 1325 tripod).
    Shutter: 1/2500
    Aperture: 6.3
    Exp. Comp: -1/3
    ISO: 400

    great shot, nice pose.
the spoonbills here in Holland aren't as colourful as yours.

I like the wing position and colors, I wish you could see the eye a bit more clearly and had a greater DOF. Maybe a slight CCW rotation to level the water. I've never seen one of these before. Guess I'll have to get to Florida sometime for that.

Nice one, Doug! You've got some incredible light hitting the bird's wings!! That being said, his head and eye are in shadow... being on the other side of the bird, right on the light angle, would make this an incredible image.

I like the wing spread and water drops but as Blake has pointed out the head and eye are in shadow.

    Doug,

Great looking bird. The better light angle would have been to the right of the bird.

What you should do is, ask your dad...cause Darth and Artie were a little more
    right than me.

I'd think it would be interesting to see if either of them have almost the same shot,
    but from that other angle.

I also used Apple RGB for the color space. Don't know about the other monitors
out there, but Apple's brought out the blues alot more than Adobe's.

Amazing pink colours shown in this. Our spoonbills in South Afica are white. Great DOF shown, and this is nice and sharp. Well captured.

Love the wonderful wingspread in this image Doug. Really gorgeous and as already mentioned light from the right would be over the top. Beautiful timing on this and thanks for sharing Doug.
