Very nice flight image, good wing position, defined eye, a hint of the breeding color still left and fish the icing on the cake. Thanks for sharing it, Michael.

    Michael:

Nice input above. I really like the detail here, esp. the bill and eye. I often find skimmer's eyes are so dark as to not show any detail.

    Fish a plus.

    Nice plus.:)

Like it a lot...you can even see the lateral line down the side of the prey.

Getting the eye on this bird is a big plus since I know with flight shots, sometimes it's not the easiest to do as the eyes are so darned dark.

Hey Michael, Nice job. I was working on these guys yesterday as well. I like the wing position and detail on both the top and bottom of the wings. Very sharp and nice BG. I got several yesterday but the distracting surf was in the BG. TFS

Good flying posture Michael, and well exposed. His catch a bonus. Well captured.

We have seen many skimmer images lately, but non with a fish. Nice light and pose here, well exposed with eye visible. Well done.

I really like the image overall, with good wing positions and a bonus catch. I find the bill looks too light and needs to be burned a bit. As a big proponent of working on eyes, especially lightening irises, I find this one to be a tad too light...I would actually tone down the iris a small bit in this case:).

Wing position, eye contact, exposure control look very good and the fish is a bonus. I might sharpen the bird a tad more.

    Hey Michael,
You crushed this one!!! You know I'm a huge fan of action...so the fish is extra bonus points. Sometimes at Nickerson.....with just the right angle.....you get the eye this visible!!!......rare, but that is exactly why I love the 10fps!!! Killer to get him in that BG too!!!
