Default Piping plover in early light

I took this shot of a plover in the wrack less than a half hour after sunrise yesterday. What I am wondering is if people think the light was too harsh, even at such an early time of the day.

Light looks beautiful to me, the reds channel may be a little spiky on the chest whites, but I'd take it anytime.
Let's see what the others have to say. Nice head angle and pose, eye contact a plus!

I think you meant rack line...not the wreck :)

Love the rich colored substrate and the narrow DOF. Crop, sharpness and eye contact are excellent.

Agree with Fabs that the red channel is overly prevalent in the whites of the chest.

I changed the spelling - but I always spelled it wrack.

In PS I went to select colors and darkened the red. It is too hot in my computer room right now to make a repost - will do later.
