Wish for a slightly better HA. Exposure nicely controlled! Some might comment on the specular highlights on the beak and foot.

I do love that outstretched wing and smooth background. Nicely done!

Hi Chris, good flying posture, and interesting colour on the head, neck and legs. I havent seen them having brown before. Even the Juvvies are black, but have a shorter bill.

    Hi Chris,

    Here is what I like:
    1) The pose is very nice. The full up- stroke wing position displays the underside of the wing very nicely.
    2) The background is pleasing. I like the mixture of brown and hints of green.
    3) Good light!
    4) Sharp and well exposed.
    Other comments/suggestions:
    1) I think this would be stronger if you had captured the image with the bird flying more towards you or at least parallel. However, I would be happy if this were mine.
    2) I agree with Colin on the highlights. If within your ethics, I would try toning those down or possibly removing and to see how that effected the presentation.

Overall I think this is a pleasing image. Thanks much for sharing.

Terrific EXP control, whites are very good. Specular highlights are up to you, since they are not that many.

Angle could be better, but the exposure, details and clean BG are very good. Not troubled with specular highlights - on my monitor, they just look wet. Well handled.
