    Sandy, good lookback pose, sharp, and well exposed on the blacks. If its in your ethics, I would remove the two twigs on the right of the perch, and maybe move the bird slightly more to the right too.

    Good critique from Stuart. I might also consider a very small crop from the top. I like the angle of the perch and the birds back.
    Just a hint of noise creeping into the background, which is surprising at this ISO. Did you need to bring up the exposure in post?

    What a lovely bird with a nice look-back pose, Sandy. You have exposed the blacks very well. I do not mind the vertical stick on the right that parallels the perch, but the one that goes the other way causes interference to me! Worth the clean up, if you're ok with it. Thanks for sharing this beauty.

    I considered removing those branches, but decided I liked the "V's" of the branches on the right that is repeated in the OOF left BG branches.

    Nice linearity between the bird and his perch. Pretty good detail as well.

    Sandy great shot, i agree with remove the two twigs on the right and crop the top
