Default Creature from the deep Extruded

This was an alligator doing his mating postures. I used Blocks 4 pixels, depth 30, level based. Then Nik Agfa Optima 400 to punch up the color. I thought the extruding made the water (which was stirred up) interesting. I masked back in the teeth slightly.

    Thanks for looking. Suggestions appreciated:)

I like the teeth and the underneath scales. You have done a very nice job creating a number of textures (I think) - the scales seem to have a different texture than the mouth area (which looks more like fur). I also like that the water has different colors, texture, and patches to break up the background a bit. I am not sure - but a looser crop (bottom and right side)?

A gator in fluffy purple flowers. I have seen it all. And I love the effect. Too, too creative. The gator itself looks like some sort of plant. Amazing and interesting and beautiful.

Hi Cheryl, Fascinating and quite beautiful. A great effect with enough detail left that I can tell what it is. I am going to have to try this. Thanks for sharing.

Great effect, Cheryl! A real explosion of color and texture. :) I might just add a little more room on the bottom.

The PP is great in this one Cheryl. If the eye had been visible it would have knocked it out of the ball park for sure. Love the violets. (colour)

Cheryl, It is like a fuzzy gator pillow. Very cool processing. The colors rock. Nice job.:)

Whoa, I'm staying out of this guy's way! Really cool explosion of color and textures!

Very cool effect! The motion makes the Gator appear to be exploding out of the water. Made me sit back in my chair! Now that's evoking a viewer response. :D

Thanks everyone for your kind words and comments. I haven't been able to predict how extrude will work on each image so each one is an adventure:)

    Very, very artistic!
What a great vision you had to create this..
Love the colors, pose, and use of the filter.
Not so sure about the comp - perhaps a bit more room?
