Very nice interaction, setting and breeding plumage. It would have been great to see the eye of the bird on the right a bit better but I like it as is.

what a beautiful image David. The muted setting/habitat is awesome.
The ccw rotation does give egrets a nice comp, but does look a bit awkward with moss hanging at an angle

a beautiful image, thanks for sharing

Very nicely done as above. Would definitely rotate the image to square to the world. I love the upperwing detail in the far wing of the incoming bird.

Was this created at Lake Martin?

    Later and love, artie

Great interaction and setting. I love the spanish moss. If the flying bird had a bit more of a head turn it would take it over the top.

Very beautiful composition and interaction. The spanish moss is a lovely bonus and as already mentioned a slight head turn would strengthen this already lovely capture. thanks for sharing !!

Thanks for the input guys. I must have been asleep when processing this image to miss the rotation. The wind was blowing the moss out a bit, but the tree should have given me a clue! :o The comp is a little tighter because I had to sacrifice a bit of canvas to the rotation.

Artie,,,,,the last report I got on Lake Martin was not good. Lots of egrets in the rookery, but out in the middle, away from the road.

    Thanks Again,,,,,,David

The repost looks better. Where was this image made? Any spoonies there?

This in a small rookery on a private tract of swamp that I had the opp to get into. No spoonies nesting here. Just a few occasional fly overs.
