    These are beautiful birds Colin and from their markings you understand why the were kept in cages as pets.

    Nice, clean & diffuse BG, complimenting the GF well. Might like to see so more space below and if this is a regular visitor, perhaps invest in a better looking perch, but remember to try to keep it in scale with the bird. Teasle heads are the favourite, or classic perch.

    Your exposure was perfect to reveal all the feather colors across the spectrum.

    The bright green OOF BG really adds a nice, contrasting touch.

    Agree on the perch suggestions if possible, as this delicate beauty would nicely complement a delicate twig.

    I love this species, and I like your background and exposure. I'm not sure about the crop, though; a bit tight bottom right. Was there something to the bird's right that you wanted to crop out?

    Awesome looking bird! Nice detail and background. As others, a different perch would be my only suggestion.
