I haven't posted in a while... so here is one for this week's theme. This is a top view of the OC with a limpet taken from a reef. Applied multiple layers and masks. Hope you like it...

I don't like it Indranil- I love it. Nicely done w/ the combination of the sharp top view of the OC and the artistic water BG. Glad to see you posting, I've been missin' you:)

Thanks Denise. I had been travelling and then down with flu for past week and still recovering. Hopefully I will be more regular from now on...

The extrude gives it some really nice depth Indranil, and the PP work is very nice. Almost get dizzy looking at it:).

Great effects with the filter, Indranil. I like the way the oystercatcher is masked in contrast to the water.

Nice image and application, Indranil. Welcome home! ;)

I might have decreased the width dimension of the extrude effect a little, if it were mine. But ...

Your image ... your vision. ;)

    Very cool!
I like the sharp OC above the waves, and the great pose.
I might try smaller blocks for the ocean - these large ones kind of overpower the bird, IMO.

    cheers -

    Sandy

Cindy, Mark, Sandy thanks. Appreciate it a lot.

Mark, Sandy, I see your point on reducing the width and using smaller blocks. I wanted to get top view of a city block effect. The bird provided the scale and contrast.

Hi Indranil, can relate to your experience as I just spent a week in Chicago with the flu and working to boot! Good to have you back and healthy!

I immediately thought "flying over a city" with this one! Great base image and you conveyed your vision very well. Good job!

This is pretty cool! The combination of the graphic style background with the bird is quite stunning. Very creative.

Like the effect you've achieved here, the original would be interesting to see as well.
