The vegetation in a clearing provided enough cover for this stunning male to browse comfortably while affording me a decent shot at a keeper. I decided to crop this one close and eliminate the rest of the body and the beginning of the tail, which are visible in the original but too much smothered by the greenery.

A very colorful bird, a good habitat image. A better head angle would be nice, but I would be very happy with this one, as well. I love seeing birds from other countries! :)

    Hi, Craig,

I'm enjoying the look on the bird's face! Scrolling around the frame I find I like this a little better with another smidgen cropped from the bottom eliminating the oof leaves on the left.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Hi Craig,
A stunning bird beautifully captured. I too am enjoying the look on his face :D
I find the sticks a little distracting, but the environment is what it is...
    Best,
    Nicki

Quite a stunning bird, and you've captured it well. The open bill is a big plus. I'd back off on the contrast though, and to a lesser extent the saturation too.
