Although I like the open break, I think the large white band in the background may be a problem, and the image may be oversharpened. Tried reducing the highlights, but I think perhaps not enough. Comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill

Lovely pose, and bg except for the bright stripe is beautiful. Stripe could be removed, but with some difficulty around the bird. Might consider taking down the highlights on the perch and legs a bit further. HAP may comment, but it looks pretty close; likewise the sharpening -- if it's overdone its not by much and looks pretty good to me.

Hi Bill,to my eye the sharpening doesn't appear to be an issue. I like the pose, even lighting and placement in the frame. Agree that the large white band is a problem but with your skills should have no problem removing...

Just the band Bill !!! If you have the time it would be a good PS project !!

Sometimes I go after those just as a learning process, not a bad idea !! btw when you can do drop some comments on others your input is much appreciated !!

Hi Bill - sharpness looks fine to me - do agree about the white band in the BG.
Personal ethics dictate what to do there?
    Like the open beak pose.

Appreciate the observations. There is always the question whether I should further work on an image, in this case remove the white stripe in the background, or go on to another image and be more careful with observing background problems when I take a photo. I'll probably work on this one later. Thanks guys!! regards~Bill
