    Harshad, an incedible shot!
Exceptional colors, nice head-turn, simple perch and complimentary BG.
What kind of kingfisher is this? In India only?

These are called as Oriental Dwarf King Fisher , Small info below courtsey Adesh Shivkar

The ODKF is a breeding migrant to Konkan and Mumbai region and very little is known about its wintering grounds…suspect, it comes from Sri-Lanka, but this needs further study. Though, it is from the Kingfisher family, its diet consists mainly of insects, crabs, lizards, geckos, mantis etc….. The mango orange underparts, iridescent blue mantle, the dazzling lilac head , coral red beak, glistening purple rump….ODKF is like that only :)

Awesome Harshadji! Perfect image if there ever was one.
Wish we had them breeding here! All we have in our backyard are the white breasted, storkbilled, and occasionally little blue KFs.... :)

One of my favorite species Harshad, love to see this bird in flight, the reds on the beak a tad oversat but fine image, nice pose and sharp, thanks for sharing, hope to see more!

Very nice Harshadbhai! I find the sat ok for my taste. It's probably a very vivid looking little guy! If you nail a good one in flight I'll be proud of ya

Very colorful bird! I agree with Raul that it is a little bit over saturated, especially reds on the bill.

Harshadbhai, super pose against a smooth BG. These must be one of the most colourful KF's - more colourful than any of ours.

Fantastic bird and great shot! The bill looks a bit hot on my monitor and I would leave a bit more pace on top. Congratulations!

Making me jealous again Harshad;) Colours are quite breathtaking. Great head turn, I might eliminate some of the highlights in the eye?

Superb imagery, Harshad !! Definition and colour spot on as is composition. Not having seen this species I have no comment on saturation on beak but the similar coloured feathers look great
    . Thanks for showing.
    Best regards
