    Default Great Crested Grebe

    Canon 7 D
    f.8
    1/2500
    ISO 800
    500 mm
    Hidrohide

This image was captured in the afternoon and all-crested Grebes were less active. However, this provided an excellent time to show off their long wings.

Like the shot, BG is what it is.
Overall, I feel it is a bit tight.

    Ricardo:

I like the wing display, the usual nice low shooting angle from the Hidrohide.

Would prefer a bit more frontal lighting angle to even out the illumination of the birds breast.

The background is OK for me.

    Cheers

    Ricardo,

Great looking bird. If you have more room onthe left and right, add it back. I am thinking a pano presentation would work well here. Take a bit off the bottom. Top is OK. BG looks good to me - water to shore line above bird where it should be.

Tight, but it also appears that it needs a little rotation and some more sharpening. Excellent angle and well captured! :)
