Hi Harold, Good even lighting along with detail in the darks. I like the positioning in the frame and wings. The birds in the backround are not that intrusive and show the rest of the colony. I do notice a halo around the head and lower wing...

Beautiful shot - the exposure looks great and the bird is very detailed. I like the DOF.

I do agree, the image looks a 'lil oversharpened. The small sharpening halo makes the bird pop out too much. The beak looks very bright orange to me, but that may be how it really looked. :)

    Very nice BIF!

Very nice, harold. A sleek looking bird, I like the wing spread, nice detail. I too notice the halo but only after it was pointed out by others.

Mr H - I love the composition - the Birds in the BG add to the story - IMHO.
Halo noted - exposure looks good and that wingspread......
    Real 3D feel to this.
    Big Congrats :)

Inclusion of the skimmers in the BG really sets the stage for a good habitat image. I like the strong diagonal of the wings.

Agree with previous comments Can add wish you had more room for the bird since its tight in frame !!
