This image, of a surfer finding a good (nature) wave, was taken at Merritt Island NWR seashore.

Modifications included; Extrude, Poster Edge and Exposure adjustment.

    Enjoy!

Wow Mark, Beautiful color explosion. Wonder if the surfer would look good w/o the effect? Nice work w/ the filter.

Good effect Mark, wonder what it would look like with just the surfer masked back in too.

Thanks for viewing and comments Denise. Appreciate it.

Per your request, here is the original and the original with just the Extrude filter. The other filters were very minor, but added a little zip to the colors, in my view. The extruded image above may not exactly match the posted image, as I did not record the exact settings. Just wanted to give an idea here of an unaltered version, without too much time experimenting to match the original post. But I prefer the original, based on my preferance for abstracts that are ... :D

Had a few minutes today and decide to come in to see how things are. Sorry for the delay, but my projects are taking longer than I had hoped they would.

    Enjoy!

Don't know, but I will let others imagine that! :D I think this repost gives some idea, versus the original, as I told Denise I did not take the time to exactly match the degree of extruding on this one. If there was more time in a day I might try to accommodate you ... but the day is too short for all adventures that are planned! ;)

    Mark, Excellent colors and technique!
I wonder how it would look with the surfer sharp, and the extruded ocean surrounding him?
As is, the black blob isindiscernible as a surfer.

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Focused surfer is another option. But then it might not be "natural" :o, so I will leave as is for this one, as the wave is the subject and the power of the action on the surfer! ;) But appreciate the comments. :)

Mark, I love the way this one explodes off the screen with the colors and effect! Like the abstraction, but might not have known that there was a surfer in there. ;)
