    Least Tern returning with a snack for the nest sitter who is still on eggs. Cropped for comp and removed a few hot spots on the fish.

    400ISO f5.6 at 1/4000th
    AP minus 1/3

    Great shot, nice and crisp, good definition in both the highlights and blacks.

    The only thing I can see is that it might have benefited from stopping down to f/8 which would have given you a 1/2000 shutter and also brought the tail into focus (probably. might have to go down to f/9 or 11.).

    That's a long fish! Out Terns have chicks already although there are some eggs left.
    Very nice whites and pose, good to get the catch light on him too.

    I was at 5.6 as I was doing flight and this opportunity presented it self very quickly. Just ain't fast enough.:o
