Is flash making it look too fake or dramatic. Keep or trash?

I don't think it looks fake. Maybe a bit too hot, but not much. I'd keep it.

Looks like a keeper to me. It's well framed, full of detail and not blown out (but close).

I like,, Vote for the keeper, check the intenisty levels, but i do not think the whites are blown out of the ball park! Like your crop!

Keep! I like it, Jackie. If you shot raw, you can probably pull more fine detail out of the highlights.

Bit time keeper for me Jackie I'm sure the whites can be tweaked, will give it a try at home and as David said doing form the raw image is the way to go !!! Excellent composition !!

Beautiful composition, Jackie. Great detail through most of the whites. A keeper for sure.

Keepr for sure - like the composition and AL'S repost puts more details in the whites and you can do better from the RAW.
    Keep!

Lots of nice detail tucked away in the jpeg. The raw should be even better.

That's Topaz Detail. Gets at the small stuff without creating artifacts. Nice little plug-in.

Hi Jackie, came in late on this but I'm sure you have your answer. Good detail(improved upon in reposts) and light.
More importantly it's a strong closeup which holds ones interest!

Funny, I was going to trash it. Will go back to the original file and rework. Thanks everybody! Dave (Mills), I like your observation about the close-up. Dave T, thanks for your work, didn't know Topaz detail didn't bring out artifacts. Good info!
We must have differently calibrated monitors. The highest value I got was 230. Too much flash???
