Macpro 64bit

Here is a tidbit of information to us mac users running 10.6.x
Although the OS supports 64bit, it does not run in 64bit with every boot. So when you run CS5 expecting it to be running in 64bit mode, it is not.
In order to boot your system macbook/macpro into 64bit you have to hold down 6+4 at the same time during the boot of your system. This will have to be done on every reboot of your system.
This will speed things up especially CS5 which can run at 64bit....

And before you PC users start laughing and thinking that yours OS boots in 64bit native think again :)

You can run CS5 in 64bit mode no matter whether OSX boots into 32 or 64 bit mode. I found a little freeware program that boots the OS into 64 bit mode without holding any keys. It also checks if your computer supports 64bit.

If you don't know it, OSX runs most likely in 32bit mode. :)
