    From this morning's paddle, another hand-held kayak photo. 40D, Bigma @ 500mm, iso 800, f/8.0, 1/1000. RAW conversion via CS3, Selective sharpening and noise reduction in Photoshop + a slight curves adjustment.

    Hi Bob Here the low angle from the boat hurt more than helped !! The oof front element is detracting from the image !! Good pose for the bird and its well exposed with a pleasing bg !!! .. btw tech wise would trade aperture for speed and go wide open .... can't never get enough speed when shooting form the boat !!

    Hi Bob - does look a little soft on my screen also.
    Agree with AL'S points - wish he was standing on the OOF foreground part.

    Nice portrait, and the oof foreground does take away from your image. BG and colors are very nice.

    agree with the rest of the gang. would have been neat to get this guy's portrait with that green as the bg.
