    This image of a Cattle Egret in breeding colors was created on June 6th, 2010 during a Robert Amoruso workshop at Gatorland at approximately 9:30 am.

    Thanks for looking and of course any critiques.

    Camera: 50D
    Lens: EF70-200mm F2.8 IS USM +1.4x
    Exposure Mode: Manual
    Metering Mode: Evaluative
    f-stop: 4.0
    Shutter Speed: 1/1600
    ISO: 400
    Subject Distance: 7.9 m
    Flash did not fire.

    I like the setting, eye contact, calling pose and breeding plumage. The image would benefit from more sharpening of the bird and NR on the BG.

    I agree on the sharpening but otherwise great image.

    Wow, not sure what I did but the image I thought that I had saved looked sharper and and had less noise than this (hopefully it wasn't my imagination):confused:. I obviously didn't do something correctly:( I will have to rework this one. Thanks for taking the time to comment Axel and Cory.

    Nice behavior shot. Also the white around the face looks a bit hot.

    Agreed about NR and a bit more sharpening. But the pose and overall comp are great! Well done. :)
